Six colours — where the quality difference actually comes from

Enjoy superior quality photos made possible with six-colour ink dyes, coupled with print speeds up to 8.0 ipm (A4). The six-colour system adds Light Cyan and Light Magenta to the four base inks, delivering an expanded colour gamut and smooth gradations in skin tones and skies — the detail that separates an ordinary print from a studio-quality one.

5,760 dpi and a 1.5 pl droplet

You can be assured of the highest quality in photo printing with a resolution of 5,760 dpi and an expanded colour gamut from six inks. The Epson Micro Piezo print head produces a minimum droplet size of 1.5 pl with Variable-Sized Droplet Technology — fine detail and gradations without visible graininess.

Speed that lets you do more

With a photo print speed of up to 25 seconds per 4R photo borderless, you can achieve much more in less time. In draft mode, speed reaches 22 ppm.

Print directly onto discs and cards

With the L8050 you can print directly onto the printable surface of your CDs and DVDs, removing the need for additional, expensive adhesive labels. It also prints on PVC and ID cards — a strong commercial capability if you produce membership or staff badges.

Very low cost per photo

The high-capacity ink tank, using 70 ml bottles, can print up to 2,100 quality 10 × 15 cm colour photos from a set of replacement ink bottles. Refilling with individual bottles is quick and easy thanks to key-lock bottles with drip-free nozzles.

Front-facing tank, easy to fill

An integrated front-facing ink tank means no moving the printer or opening multiple covers to check levels or refill. Key-lock bottles ensure only the correct colour enters the correct tank.

Heat-Free energy efficiency

Achieve high-speed printing at lower power consumption with Epson's Heat-Free Technology, as no heat is required during the ink ejection process. Power draw is around 13 W while printing, 3.3 W in ready mode, and 1.2 W in sleep.
